Agenda for Next Meeting of SC/SPP

Among the items to be included in the agenda of the next meeting of the SPP Steering Committee, the following ones to me seem of particular importance:
  • Next conference of SPP
  • Internal discussion on the future of SPP
  • SPP regulations
  • Enlargement of SPP
  • SPP website and weblog
  • Financial issues
  • SC membership issues
You are warmly invited to comment on this proposal.

Date for Next Meeting of SC/SPP

I would propose to hold the next meeting of the SPP Steering Committee in Vienna in the first week of May. To be more precise, I have two different dates to offer, i.e. 2 May and 5 May, of which I would personally prefer 2 May.

This may seem to be a late point of time, compared with the original intention of holding the meeting in March already. I must however point out that I will have to make some business trips in the next weeks and to organize an international workshop in April, so that it is hardly possible for me to organize the SC meeting earlier. However, since our conference this year probably will take place in November only, we will have enough time to prepare the conference and enhance our internal discussions on the future of the section between May and November.

I would warmly invite you to comment on my proposal.

How to post and how to subscribe this weblog

A- how to post: left side up: Menu "Contribute" / pull-down menu: "Create new Story"
+ this is how blogging started a few years ago: telling stories in the Internet

B-subscription: there are two facilities:

(1) email notification: you get a notification of every new posting, comment, or reply immediately into your mailbox.
+ How to subscribe: click on "Abonnements" right side up, pull down menu "E-Mail notification".
+ There are several options displayed. I recommend to activate „notification of every posting and comment“
+ If the „Abonnements“ does not show off, you must click on „login“.

(2) RSS: subscribe the weblog in your RSS reader. This results in getting the content of every entrance into your reader, not only notification. See a comprehensive explanation about RSS and readers in the BBC Homepage http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/help/rss/3223484.stm A short explanation will be available here for download in due time.
